Total Carp Hobo Armour Hobo Glow Review

Bivvy lights are a very ‘Marmite’ type product; you simply either love it or hate it. What really dawned on me at this years Carp In The Park event was the amount of love going around for one bivvy light in particular the Hobo Glow. As a dual-purpose product it boasts a wide array of features to what would normally be a general product. The all-encompassing bivvy light, offers adjustable cool white light and three separate grades of red, ideal for when the mozzies are out but you still need some illumination in the bivvy.

The differing levels of white lights serve multiple purposes too, either helping to illuminate those difficult night shots, rig tying or cooking when bivvy bound or if you ever are lucky enough to find yourself out on the boat in the hours of darkness they give you a great reference point to return to your bivvy with ease.

Offering up to 60 hours battery life from a single charge, the Hobo Glow also benefits from a power bank function helping you to keep any electrical devices alive whilst out on the bank utilising a single USB port. Such as mobile phones, or the action cameras which have grown with popularity in the last few years.

What we really like are the thoughtful additions, the on button benefits from being glow in the dark so you can always find it, whilst the body is extremely resilient, literally a Nissan Navara (see video below) has driven over one to no avail, so don’t worry about throwing it around in your kit bag or it taking a tumble when out on the bank. Waterproof up to two metres you can safely leave the device outside no matter the weather and the Hobo Glow will not be affected at all.   As of yet we are unable to find a fault with the item and as a result we highly recommend buying one just o find out how useful they really can be.
