With the explosion of electric devices featuring more heavily in today’s angling, it only makes sense that you can keep your phone, tablet, camera or other toys full of power, ready for action.
Developed with the modern carp angler in mind, the team behind RidgeMonkey sourced the Vault as the ultimate fishing power pack.
It featues multiple charging ports and ultra-reliable lithium ion battery for prolonged and reliable use. The charger is protected via a heavy-duty rubberised case which prevents damage when in use or transit.
Water butts are an important piece of kit for all anglers but there’s always the age-old problem when trying to fill a single cup or kettle because the water spits and spurts as you pour.
By screwing on the supplied removable tap it allows you to use the container much more efficiently, ensuring the flow is immediate and controlled. The water butt can be bought in a five-litre, 10-litre or 15-litre capacity, catering for quick overnight stays or longer three to four-day durations.
The largest of the three also features an extra-large filling hole, making them a doddle to replenish, especially from a smaller water container.

Although Shimano is keen to avoid comparisons with GoPro, the new Sport Camera is an obvious competitor for the market-leading video camera, which I was told recently was now the biggest-selling camera worldwide. If Shimano can take some of this market away from GoPro I imagine they’ll be very happy indeed. More importantly, from what I have seen so far, it certainly could do so. Much more compact than a GoPro (sorry, I did it again) the Shimano camera was first launched for the cycling market.
