There is no shortage of good hooks available to the modern carp angler and in these, Prologic has raised its own bar significantly.

With super-sharp points throughout the range, there are a host of patterns to cover all fishing situations. My only slight reservation here is that they carry numbers for their descriptions, such as XC2, XC5 and XC7, which don’t immediately tell you what they’re designed to be used for.

That aside, most pop-up and bottom-bait presentations are more than catered for and each pattern looks relevant.

I like the dark, matt-black finish, which is also pretty smooth and definitely won’t reflect any light, even when margin fishing in clear water on sunny days. Then Japanese carbon-steel gauge seems good and initial strength tests went well. I’d like to try them over a longer period but for now first impressions are very good. (MC)
