Nash Pva Range

With six products among the newly launched Nash PVA range, we managed to get our hands on a few to see if they are as good as we had heard.

First is the Webcast PVA. Priced at £7.99 for seven metres and supplied in a shorter bait-bucket-friendly dispenser complete with plunger, we felt this was great value for money. Designed with a fast-dissolving, anti-ladder weave, this formula will work year round while retaining its strength for big chucks. Refills are available for each of the three sizes – 18mm, 23mm and 37mm – priced at just £3.99.

The Webcast Ultra Weave is exactly what you would expect. At a dearer £8.49 for four metres and £4.49 for the refills, it boasts a much tighter weave of just 0.2mm. This makes it superb for fishing with crumb, maggots and stick mix. You can actually tie maggot balls in advance knowing they won’t escape. Unlike the Webcast, the Ultra Weave has a longer breakdown to cater for warmer and deeper water while still ensuring your bait sits perfectly around your hook.

Available in small, medium, large and extra large, the Fast Melt PVA bags are £2.95 for a pack of 25. A lightly perforated film ensures air is removed easily, allowing the bag to sink quicker, while a special micro coating keeps the bags from sticking together, even in damp conditions.

Lastly is the Fast Melt PVA tape. Available in 5mm and 10mm diameters, the 20m spools are just £3.49. Both sizes have their own uses, with the 5mm being perfect for tying off PVA bags and leads while the 10mm makes a much better stringer presentation. (DM)
