A friend who I carp fish with, and who is as fussy as me when it comes to mono lines, has been using this for a little while and absolutely loves it. So, when it came to reviewing it here, I was keen to find out for myself what it was all about.

Another ringing endorsement was that when I spoke to Gardner, I was told that the 15lb had, at the time, completely sold out! Fortunately, we already had a spool in the office.

On the rods, the line behaves perfectly, sinking really well, casting as well as you’d expect from a 15lb line and feeling a lot less stretchy than some. After a fairly brief soak, it also loaded very nicely on to the reels. By the way, if you have black reels, as many do these days, the dark colour looks great on the spools! (MC)
