I love this combination of bobbin head and cord and it literally covers all scenarios with the exception, maybe, of when fishing in high winds. There are two lengths of cord available and I have used both, but favour the shorter one. With Cygnet’s Kippa Clips I can fish slack or tight lines at a variety of heights, so I find the shorter ones ample. If you’re really into ultra-slack-line fishing, which I’m not, then you might prefer the longer cords. Either way, one of them will suit and, given their price, you could just buy a set of each. As for the heads, I absolutely love the Dumpy. It’s a mid-size, mid-weight head that is versatile to the point that I rarely use anything else. I’ve got the white PTFE versions, but there are several acrylic heads in different colours. If you’ve read any of my previous reviews on the Cygnet indicators, you’ll know that I rate the entire range highly, albeit there are items that do not suit my own fishing per se. However, in the Dumpy heads and Klinga Cords I have found a combination that I use for 90 per cent of my carp fishing.
