Bank Bug Silent Assassin Demon Hooks, Line Sights, Rock Steady Back Rest System

Bank Bug has recently released the Silent Assassin Demons. Chemically sharpened and seriously strong, they are finished in a matt black PTFE coating that is non-reflective for a discreet approach that particularly comes into its own in shallow clear water.

There are now seven varieties in the range to help you find the perfect pattern for your preferred presentation. These include the Long S, Curved LS, Wide G, Curved S, Chod and of course the Straight P, all of which are priced at £4.99 for a very generous pack of 12 in barbed sizes 6 and 8, two of the most popular sizes for any specimen carp angling.

Last but by no means least is the newest addition to the range, the Demon, which are available in sizes 4, 6 and 8. Described as the most versatile pattern in the range, it has been produced with one thing in mind – unrivalled hooking potential. Working well in conjunction with bottom baits and pop-ups alike, this is one pattern that, only priced at £3.99 for 12, is worth experimenting with when you just want to try something a little different.

The line sights are a great visual aid in a variety of angling situations. With a visibility of approximately 100 yards in good daylight and up to 60 yards at night with the aid of a headtorch, you can remain aware of where your stationary lines are when playing fish.

In a two-piece system you can effortlessly slide the sight on your line and the weight of the device will carry it down until it reaches the water. Other uses are for when fishing up to snags and, of course, if you angle from a boat it gives you a visual aid to help steer clear of your lines. Supplied in packs of three for £14.99.

How many horror stories have you heard about anglers losing their rods on the take when their butt rests just aren’t up to the job? Well here’s a device that will eradicate that nightmare.

Supplied with locking boss and two different sized O-rings it can easily be attached to any rod handle type anywhere along the butt. A locking point is screwed into the rear banksticks or buzz bar and houses the locking boss with ease.

On the take, simply lift the rod up and you are in control. Both items can be left in situ for ease when casting or packing away and are ready for action as soon as you are next out on the bank. For £29.99 there are three in a pack, or you can buy them individually for £9.99. (DM)
