 The Okuma CB-60 really does look the part. With its exceptional understated and, dare I say it, carpy cosmetics, the Custom Blacks boast great performance in a compact yet durable bundle.

In addition, I simply love the excellent value for money, making this a truly affordable, functional big pit reel. It has a super-fast clutch, sealed bearings and a wooden handle that has been outfitted with a weight on one side, so it always angles down so you don’t have to align your handles perfectly every time. Its machine-cut anodised spool, along with its quick-set anti-reverse ball bearing and worm shaft transmission, are all complemented by its Hydro Block system and even flow roller. Having received these in the last few weeks, I look forward to putting them through their paces over the coming months and trying out some of the key features for myself. Absolutely packed with top-of-the-range features and specifications, the Okuma CB-60 is an excellent purchase for anyone looking for an affordable reel that will suit both the beginner and the more experienced carp angler in the modern world of carp angling.
