Jones Banks Dropscale

46lb monster is new best.
First4Fishing Shop Manager Mike Jones enjoyed a fantastic session at Wellington Country Park this week, landing a new personal best in the shape of the giant mirror Dropscale at a weight of 46lb.

The Nash backed rod took the giant at 11am in the morning, over a bed of Nash's Scopex Squid, fishing at a range of 110yds. He used a Snowman setup incorporating a size 6 Nash Fang X Hooks and Rig Components from Nash's Diffusion Camo range.

Remarkably, as Mike did battle with the fish, his other bite alarm signalled a take. Fortunately, the fish weeded itself, which gave Mike chance to net his new PB, at 46lb. With the fish returned to the water, Mike battled the second fish, which turned out to be another mirror weighing 42-2-0. On the same session, Mike also landed another carp, known as The Pretty One at a a weight of 38-10-0.
