Only recently stepping into the world of angling footwear – yes, pun intended – Fox has brought several dedicated items to the market.

We have chosen to focus on the two within the Explorer range. To produce durable, comfortable and hard-wearing boots, Vibram soles have been included as standard, as well as 3M Thinsulate insulation. They are available from size 7 to 12 and offer a snug, comfortable fit. There a few features that we really like, such as the fold-and-fix tongue. This allows the tongue to be fixed down to make it very easy to slip into the boots when needed; ideal to have ready when you’re in bed. A reinforced toe section offers superb protection, especially for the angler who likes to get up trees and climb over other field obstacles. The kick-off plate is also reinforced, which is a massive edge for continued use. Too many times I have worn out the back of boots trying to get them off in a hurry. So whether you prefer larger protective boots or want more from your shoes, make sure you give both of the Explorer treads a good look. (DM)
