Daiwa Emblem Br 25a Reel

We love these! - great product at a great price

Designed around the medium-sized-water premise, the new Emblem BR 25A is a compact size coupled with big-pit performance. In recent years it appears the trend has been to either go back to ‘cult retro’ reels or look for large big-pit machines because bigger is better, or so everyone thought.
It will be equally at home on an intimate five-acre water as it will on a large expanse of 80 acres. Is this possible? According to the technical guys at Daiwa it is not only possible but a reality, while keeping the price within a sensible range.
Built around the same compact chassis developed for the luxurious and downright amazing Cast’izm BR, which has received an extremely warm welcome in the press and on the bank, the Emblem BR also offers a shortened 25mm mini big-pit spool. So how does the ‘mini’ big-pit spool offer big-pit attributes?
Thanks to the innovative spool geometry, which is too technical for me to grasp let alone explain, the Emblem BR 25A will still deliver remarkable casting distances that will rival your previous large-spool reels. With a top crank rate of 107 centimetres, big casts are quickly recovered with minimal effort while obtaining maximum reward.
With an astounding capacity of 270 metres for 14lb main line, you can load these to the hilt, making them superb for bait fishing at long range while they still remain at home when fishing in the edge.
As you would expect coming from the highly regarded Daiwa stable, the Emblem is feature packed to ensure you are buying a reliable, durable and high-performance item.

Other features include High Impact Line Clip ensuring your main line is protected against even the harshest of casts, Air Bail and Air Rotor help to minimise weight while offering strong components and the UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag) ensures the Emblem BR still delivers a solid and reliable performance usually found at a much higher price point.
Marc Coulson is the lucky guy who has managed to secure a review schedule with these, so keep glued to our pages for an upcoming extensive test on how they really perform out on the bank. (DM)
