Daiwa Cast’izm Br 25a

GUEST REVIEWER Editor of Advanced Carp Fishing Magazine Max Hendry’s verdict: Faultless casting and weighs next to nothing.  4/5

I got a set a Cast’izm reels in for review last year. I was after a small, compact reel that would be ideal for using on canals or small waters with my shorter 10ft rods.

Like the Cast’izm QDA reel the Mag Sealing ensures the reel remains super-smooth no matter how much abuse you give it. The clutch is super-smooth and changes seamlessly from free spool to locked up. The line clip is line friendly too, preventing any nicks in the line. The line lay is also great and, despite the size of the reel, it casts surprisingly well thanks to the design of the spool. It even casts well even with my chosen fluorocarbon line. Aesthetically they look awesome and have become a firm favourite when I am fishing on small waters. (MH)
