White Banks Half Lin

54-8-0 monster for former match star.
Craig White has banked the Half Lin mirror from Vinnetrow, dropping it on the scales at 54-8-0. The fish smashed his personal best by over 13lb.

He explained: “The Half Lin was my 14th different fish since march the 1st on my first season on Vinnetrow- so it fair to say I’m having a good year!

My previous PB was 41-4 which was also from Vinnetrow earlier this year. I've been carp fishing for about 4 years now, but prior to that I match fished at quite a high level. I fished for Daiwa Dorking, and was a former member of the Drennan Team England Youth match team. I also won a bronze medal in the World Championships in Portugal in 1999, but I'm certainly enjoyed myself now I've turned to carp fishing.

I caught the half Lin on a modified version of the multi rig using 25lb Jel-E-Wyre and a size 6 Grab A Gun Smoke hook. Line choice was 15lb Gardner GR60 main line fished to a clear spot amongst weed at 90yrds. Hookbait was a 14mm homemade pop up.”
