Built from a sturdy yet lightweight aluminium three-rib construction and integrated fourth pole peak, the XTI benefits from increased space to protect both you and your tackle, while a subtle pointed apex allows the user plenty of headroom. The design of the three-rib frame results in this bivvy being extremely sturdy, so if you are caught in the middle of a changing weather front fear not, you can sit back and rest assured that your setup isn’t going anywhere.

For increased stability the XTI also boasts reinforced pegging points, and a simple yet effective tension-bar system that effortlessly fits down the shelter’s spine.

With a versatile multiple-door system, you can choose between a complete solid infill panel, mosquito front or the clear PVC window, or, of course, you can remove them completely, allowing you to customise your setup depending on weather and environmental factors, enabling you to fish comfortably and effectively.

Supplied in a handy oversized bag for ease of packing away, the bivvy comes complete with heavy-duty groundsheet and pegs, weighing in at 14kg. At first this may seem a little heavy but you have to bear in mind that you are covered for all situations and benefit from a large internal footprint to make your stay a spacious and comfortable one.

Also, when you begin to use it regularly you can strip out the non-essentials, which will reduce the weight considerably.

An additional overwrap is also on offer that will further enhance the protection provided and make this a fully equipped all-year-round shelter. At RRP it’s a pretty hefty investment for most peope, but we reckon you might find them a little cheaper. (DM)
