The Riot Tactical Compact Chair is the more affordable of the two and comes highly recommended for anglers who are mobile and like to travel light, those wanting to take a guest chair or perhaps for the individuals who are simply looking for a barebones piece of kit that performs as advertised. Weighing in at just 3.5kg, this Compact Chair can be easily carried or loaded on to the barrow with very little fuss. Despite being lightweight, it is incredibly strong thanks to its steel frame construction, which has been powder coated for a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish. This has been covered with a generously padded mattress that features Wychwood’s own weather resistant Tactical camo pattern fabric. Measuring 475mm wide and 420mm deep, the Riot Tactical Compact Chair offers plenty of space for the user, where the back measures 500m for ample support. Adjustment can be found in the legs of the chair, which can extend from 250mm to 400mm. Paired with pivoting mudfeet, there is significant adjustment to be able to settle on virtually any ground.

The Riot Tactical Compact Chair with Arms makes use of many of the same features as found in the standard Compact version. But as its name suggests, the marginal price increase sees the installation of armrests. These provide additional comfort whilst bankside and are just the ticket when fishing longer sessions. The armrests have been treated to some stylish mesh covers that provide plenty of grip when pushing off the seating arrangement. This additional feature sees a slight increase in the weight of the chair, which on this occasion clocks in at 5.5kg. A very small sacrifice for a substantial gain.
