Chub Vizor Lite Bivvy

Marc Coulson’s verdict... great bivvy, especially if you like lots of room.

When I first saw this on display at Chub HQ I was really impressed. Like, really impressed. More recently we’ve had one into the TC offices and I’ve been fortunate enough to use it out on the bank a couple of times.

It’s still a great bivvy, but I’d have to confess that it would not be my first choice. Don’t take this the wrong way; there’s nothing wrong with it as such, but Chub has made an effort to increase internal space by separating the pram-hood poles at the base rather than them all meeting together.

This is simply additional space that I don’t require. However, it will definitely appeal to many people reading this, especially those with a penchant for taking plenty of kit and liking a bit of comfort on the bank.

The only issue I had with it was that the shaped peak bars weren’t the easiest to locate and slot into their fixings. That aside, for the right angler, this is absolutely spot-on. (MC) The material is excellent and there are some very nice additional touches. The rear vents and panels can be zipped open and closed from the inside, which is a touch of genius, and there are even neat little Velcro-on bars that allow the panels to be down but have them slightly ajar at the bottom.
