43lb Common For Michiel!

French reservoir trip proves fruitful for Dutch rod.
After recently signing a sponsorship deal with Taska, Dutch rod Michiel Martijn celebrated in style, by banking this 43lb 7oz common carp! The 39 year old caught the fish after a two day campaign on the massive French water.

He explained: “I baitied up with a mixture of 20mm and 24mm UCP boilies for two days. With bait in place, I leaded about at distance and found a spot around four meters deep. I then cast out and a few hours later had this beauty. Due to the extreme distance from which I brought it back, it was very  slow coming into the bank. When I dropped the fish on the scales, it went 43lb- a cracking start to the session.

I normally play the fish from a boat when I am fishing at distance, but this time I stayed on the bank as it was too foggy. I have fished this lake four times over the past few years, and have been eagerly anticipating this trip. I was desperate to use my new Taska gear and cannot wait to get another trip planned. Not only did I catch this monster, I also had a 42lb Long Mirror.  The Taska Line Aligners strike again!”
