Fluorocarbon, with its heavy and wiry nature, is known to be a poor casting line, but I’ve only been fishing at around 60 yards so the 20lb version has served me well.
It sinks brilliantly so stays well out of harm’s way, and the fact that fluorocarbon is near invisible in water has its obvious advantages. X Line boasts both properties, in spades, and I have been pleasantly surprised at how abrasion resistant is has proved to be.
