Biggest weight for 2011 beats previous best by 2oz and sees new 60 on the scene. The weight of the biggest carp of the season has been broken yet again following the capture of a 60lb 6oz specimen from a day-ticket water in Kent. Landed by carp consultant Rob Marsh from Elphicks Fisheries, the fish known as The Big Girl beats the previous best for the season by 2oz. Captured just a few weeks ago at a weight of 58lb 12oz, the massive carp has been packing on the weight to break the 60lb barrier for the first time – with many believing that the fish will go on to break the British record some time in the future.

Following the fish pays off with near 30lb mirror from new venue. Nash Peg One sponsored angler Ted Bryan is certainly making the most of the big autumn feed-up and has been banking carp like they are going out of fashion. With his latest session seeing this stunning 29lb 8oz specimen come to the bank. Fishing his first session on a new lake Ted suffered a first night, forcing him to move to find the fish which he had seen showing at the other end of the 30acre water.

Venue record breaker shocks as it piles on 10lb since last capture. A brand new UK 50 has been caught at a weight of 53lb. The fish, known as the Gurm, sets a new record for Fryerning Fisheries in Essex and was landed by Rayleigh angler Mark Deighton during a five-day session at the venue. The weight of the fish was a huge surprise to both Mark and fishery manager Charlie Knowles who spoke to Total Carp about the capture.
