Tutti Frutti Goes Dark

Richworth's classic boilie gets a make-over for year-round carping.

Richworth’s famous Tutti Frutti boilies have been given a makeover for 2012.

Specifically designed for year-round fishing, the new Dark Tutti is a result of consultation with hundreds of carpers about what colour they would like to use the boilie as in the water.

The almost unanimous answer was dark red or brown – with the new colour being the result.

Made from exactly the same mix as the original orange bait, testing of the new darker boilie has shown it to be a real winner, in both its 14 and 18mm sizes.

“The decision behind the new bait is that original Tutti doesn’t get used a great amount in the warmer months of the year because anglers don’t like to introduce a bright orange food bait into the swim,” said a spokesperson for Richworth.

“The trend is much more towards darker, more natural looking or washed out type baits, this has to be down to the belief that fish will spook off of beds of bright coloured feed. Whether you buy into this train of thought is down to the individual, but one thing is for sure many waters don’t see much Tutti until the water cools and then when its introduced as singles, with stringers or PVA bags it out fishes everything else.”

Another addition to the famous bait’s range is the new Super Tutti Airo Pop-ups, which will be available in a mix of colours, including the new dark, original orange, white and bright green.

All the new baits will hit the tackle shops in January 2012.
