Designed to be lightweight and compact, the Tactical stove is any roving angler’s dream.
Designed to fit perfectly in the Wychwood Carpers Kettle the pack-down size of the stove really is something to marvel with the ingenious, unique leg-folding design. Boasting a high thermal efficiency when coupled with a good gas canister, you can achieve a boiling time of just less than two minutes, kettle size depending of course, but more than that the efficiency helps to preserve and make the most of your gas.
Built using a combination of high-grade aluminium, copper and stainless steel, this compact stove is hard-wearing, lightweight and robust.
We love these!
RidgeMonkey’s sandwich toaster has been an absolute revelation and, although we don’t know exactly how many have been sold, we reckon that if their Instagram accounts are anything to go by, more anglers own one than don’t!
With twice the capacity of the original you can cook almost anything in one. It boasts the same spec, including fluoropolymer, non-stick coating and it’s extremely easy to clean. Basically, I want one. .
Great range to suit all needs - What’s not to like?
We’ve had Trakker’s top-of-the range and hugely powerful CG-3, which our own Dan Murrell uses for his fishing, but there are three more stoves in Trakker’s range, each at a slightly different price point and offering a variety of features.
Let’s start with the Mercury, which is a traditional canister-top style, which screws directly on to the gas can itself. Four foldout arms offer stability and the output is exceptionally efficient for this style of stove.
The Mercury also features an integral Piezo ignition, particularly essential at this time of year.
Whether you fancy yourself as a bit of a Gordon Ramsey or you just enjoy a nice brew, a stove is an essential item of kit when it comes to fishing for any length of time.
Trakker has long been recognised as one of the best manufacturers of cooking and outdoor-shelter supplies and this product is no exception.
Weighing in at 381g and measuring just a minimal 9 x 9. 5 centimetres, this lightweight and compact design unfolds to present the user with a wide-framed stove of which its low centre of gravity makes it the ideal, stable platform for cooking safely and efficiently.
• Comprises large and small cooking pots and shallow frying pan• Hard anodised-aluminium, non-stick finish• Feature heatproof, foldaway handles• Part of the extensive Advanta cookware rangeRRP: £29. 99FOR MORE DETAILS GO TO: www. anglingdirect. co.
I was given the Advanta power stove to test some two months ago and I am pleased to report that it’s a very reliable and sturdy piece of kit. Supplied in a small, hard case there’s no risk of it getting damaged or caked in mud and dirt in transit, which obviously helps to prolong its life. It is very compact and easily accommodated but does fold out, providing stable and secure seating for kettles, pots and pans. The robust metal feet allow it to be pushed into soft ground, ensuring the stove can be positioned level, even on the most uneven of banks.
From the rather understated stainless mug to the more complex Power Stove, the new cookware range from Advanta has all bases covered to enjoy some top-notch bankside cuisine. The three-piece aluminium cook set comprises a small saucepan, large saucepan and frying pan that all fit snugly into each other. They are easy to clean, feature a non-stick, anodised coating and are each fitted with plastic, heat-resistant, foldaway handles. There are three types of stove, two flasks and a windshield in the range.
With more anglers fishing overnight sessions, and longer, we’re all looking to make our trips as comfortable as possible. One way of doing this is by eating and drinking well and for that you need decent equipment. There is a plethora of cooking kit available to the modern carp angler, both from tackle companies and specialist outdoor retailers, but few collections are as comprehensive as this new Tukka stuff from Vision. There’s literally everything you need here, and more.
