Fox ace enjoys bumper pre work catchIt's been a hectic few weeks for Dutch Fox consultant Mark Noorman, but when he managed to squeeze in a hectic pre work session recently, even he was gobsmacked by how well he caught! He explained: "Because of the sudden warm temperatures I expected the carp to have finished spawning and be looking for some food in the coming days. Therefore I planned an early morning session of just a few hours and pre-baited a general area on a local lake with some Mainline Cell boilie chops for two days. The fish see a fair bit of angling pressure so I opted for a subtle and effective hooking setup containing some of the awesome new Edges products. The 8cm long rig was constructed from the new 15lb Reflex Camo in Light Camo and a size 10 Kuro S4 XS hook, to which a Tungsten Hooklink Sinker was added.

41lb monster is icing on cake for Jim Wilson. Korda ace, Jim Wilson had a long weekend to remember last week, after banking an incredible six fish haul -the best of which went a massive 41lb 10oz!Jim explained: "I arrived at my syndicate around 05:30am on Friday morning for a rare weekend’s fishing. There were already three or four people dotted around the lake and well spread out. A swim that had been kind to me over the spring was free, and as it was a weekend, I thought being in that area could only be beneficial, as the swim I fancied is the only one giving access to the area of lake I fancied.

Tom Oliver reflects on a month to remember. The first trip of May was at my syndicate lake and after recent success I was keen to get back for another go. I arrived at the lake to the normal silly season scenario of all of the main swims being taken bar a couple the furthest walk from the car park. As it was all that was left me and a friend Dave quickly filled the gaps and set up home for the weekend.

Chance for anglers to pose questions to the stars!A new angling forum has been launched, giving users the chance to have their questions answered by the best names in the business. The aptly name ‘Angling Answers’ has sections for carp, match, coarse, sea and fly anglers – and is powered by DHP Ltd, Europe’s largest independent publisher of fishing magazines. The forum is the brainchild of DHP’s Operations Director Roger Mortimer, who has seen similar forums working well in other sectors, and noticed a gap for a technical and tactical based forum in the angling market. Roger explained: “All our editorial staff have been encouraged to get involved and they’re inviting their top contributors on board too.

40lb 10oz pit beast landed. Solar Team member Carl Sharp landed this 40lb 10oz cracker from the Monk's Pit syndicate in Cambridgeshire on June 16th. The mirror, known as Moonscale, is one of the lake's A-Team and a fish that Carl's been after since joining the water a couple of years ago. A snowman presentation made with a Solar Club & Cream dumbell and Dairy Cream pop-up fished over 1kg of matching freebies and half a kilo of hemp at 90 yards proved the winning combo.
