Renowned French venue Echo Pool Fishery threw up its most treasured prize in a new lake record weight. The trip had got off to an absolute flyer for John Blair who fished with Pallatrax Jungle boilies and the ingenious Stonze weights, having already banked six mirrors ranging from mid forties to over a whopping 65lb this was turning in to a red-letter session. John Continues: “Echo Pool was not content with just that, I had taken the rods out and gone of to the shop and left things alone for a couple of hours, On return the rods were put back in and within ten minutes or so the left hand rod just ripped off. The start as it turned out of one of those lifetime memories although very quickly managing to find the only snag in the lake my thoughts turned to "can the line take it" and "am I going to lose it".

Matt Whalley was fortunate to get out on the bank this week and venturing to his local water with limited time he targeted his preferred open water swim. After finding several clean fishable spots which had produced the goods in the past Matt begun baiting with 20 spombs of Deep Blue Particles Natural Mix consisting of Hemp, Maggots, Casters, Snails and Water Snails, needless to say it was a right carp feast. A scattering of Urban Baits Tuna & Garlic went over the area and out went the rigs. Fishing a bottom bait presentation utilising products from the Hybrid Tackle range Matt opted for a 14mm Tuna & Garlic boilie that was then tipped with the ever-faithful pink maggot clusters from Evolution Carp Tackle.

It's a great time to go in search of a few carp and MARC COULSON has a great way of targeting them once you’ve found them. . . It’s still a little early in the year to start piling the bait in, although levels can certainly be upped from now onwards; however, themajority of us will want something different altogether.

Temple regular Rob O’Neil has just had his best ever session on Temple catching six fish topped by Nemo at 41lb 12oz, The Ghost at 38lb 15oz as well as another stunning thirty, a 30lb 12oz common. Rob arrived Friday morning first thing and decided to go in peg 9 after seeing a fish jump out next to the pads. The day was warm and bright but at around 6pm it clouded over and the fish started to show. The amount of fish in front of Rob was amazing.
