Carp In The Park is the standalone social that boasts a star-studded line-up of speakers, live music, all the top brands and all the fun of a music festival.

Now in its second year, it’s a weekend not to be missed and it’s the perfect excuse to get away with your family and mates and bivvy up in the festival atmosphere of Billing Aquadrome.

Plus, if England’s football stars win their group at the Euros, we’ll be kicking the weekend off on the Friday evening with the quarter-final live on the giant festival screen! Even if Messrs Kane, Vardy and Hart cock up, we’ll be showing the premier of the new Shimano Dynamite carp film starring a load of French carp!

As well as the slide shows, live demos, teach-ins, casting clinic and all the latest gear, the event is your chance to rub shoulders with the biggest names in carping in a laid-back atmosphere smack, bang in the centre of England. The list of exhibitors is a who’s who of carp brands and confirmed names include Nash, JRC, Trakker, Shimano and Free Spirit, to name but a few. There are also several bait suppliers showing and selling their products and countless smaller stands focused on bite alarms, end gear and clothing. As a tackle show it’s impressive – one of the best line-ups you’ll find anywhere – but bolt on the slide shows, demos and live music and you’ve got a ‘must not miss’ event. Ticket prices have been kept low – accompanied under 16s are free! – And even staying over won’t break the bank.

The site is in the middle of a 235-acre holiday park, with lakes for demos and the River Nene bordering the meadow. The slide shows are on a scale not seen before and there’s a load to see and do even for non-fishing members of the family, with a leisure centre, restaurants, takeaways and a festival bar on site.

This is a weekender that you won’t want to miss at a venue steeped in carp fishing history.
