The only problem with the renowned Delkim alarms is that they all look the same. Well not now, the Identikit helps to personalise yours and make them individual to you. With 26 nationalities to chose from, there’s an abundance of options to show off your patriotism. Among the national-flag dome labels the kit comes with a Delkim printed lanyard and attachment, which fits any Delkim receiver, allowing it to be kept close and hung around your neck.

We first received these some time ago and gave them a preview from the information provided. However, when the Delkim boys came into the office for some filming more recently, and explained exactly how the Smart Clips work, we all clamoured to get a set for ourselves. I’ve since used them on a few occasions and can honestly say that I wouldn’t use another line clip. Ideally suited to work in conjunction with Delkim’s complete indication system, they also work perfectly with any other bobbins and fit on any carp rod.

As a result of doing a lot of PVA-bag work recently, I have moved from a coated hook link to a suppler alternative. The Pin Down is extremely easy to work with and simple to manipulate when placing it inside a PVA bag. I have been using the Weed/Silt colour, which looks great over the lake bed because the mottled, broken colour virtually disappears. The hook link is quite heavy, which again I like because it eliminates the need to add putty.

I go through stages where I’ll either pre-tie rigs before a trip or I will prefer to do so on the bank. However, some rigs I always have tied up and at the ready, such as the 360. Most rig wallets, even the better ones, are simply too short, restricting me to rigs between six and 10 inches. I much prefer longer rigs, often up to 12 inches or so (size does matter after all) and the 18in XXL Rigger Pouch allows me to store these easily.

These amazing bottles, which are easy to carry and available in two colours, black and white, filter lake, river and stream water and make it safe to drink. They can also be used as conventional bottles to store cold drinks in and, while we’re not suggesting that they should be the only source of water you rely on, they are perfect as a stopgap or in times of need. With the ability to remove up to 99. 99 per cent of all contaminants, the Water-to-Go will give you perfectly safe, ready-to-drink water and with a 700ml capacity there’ll be enough to keep you going for a while.

The newest glasses in the Fortis range sees a slight move away from fashion designs with the Wrap instead offering a more traditional look, yet with modern lines. The wraparound design offers full protection and peripheral vision, as well as eliminating light ingress. Vents in the upper frame prevent steaming and two lens options cover all types of light conditions. They’re also very light and comfortable to wear for long periods and offer UV400 protection, as well as the same polarising properties of the rest of the impressive range.

Leech is a new name on the UK polarising-sunglasses market and has already taken the game fishing world by storm. A combination of good-quality lenses, lightweight frames and very reasonable prices look set to make them popular with carp anglers, too. There are several styles available and these Rainbow versions are supplied with three sets of interchangeable lenses to suit different light conditions. They clip in and out easily and, when not in use, store in slots within the supplied case.

For many years the System Boxes from Fox have lead the way in tackle-box design, but that quality and innovation has come at a price. Now, thanks to the new Royale versions, anglers on a tighter budget can own one of these brilliant storage systems. With multiple compartments and internal system boxes, both the medium and large versions will hold plenty of terminal tackle and more. Price: £24.
