Available in several sizes, these air-dry bags are perfect for storing baits on longer sessions. I bought a couple of the 3kg versions and the small hook-bait type from The Tackle Box earlier this year (lots of other retailers also sell them) and now use them on all my trips. I chuck a load of frozen baits in one and hang it up in my garage the night before I go fishing. They are then defrosted and ready to use the next day and can be kept in good condition while on the bank, too.
This neat little pouch, with four internal, clear-lid pouches, is ideal for storing different types of leads. I keep one in the boot of my car when fishing and use it as a spare reservoir of leads, if you like. I only take half a dozen or so to my swim, but I know that I always have spare leads of different style and size there if I need them. It’s become one of those essential items, so I’d happily recommend it, although £23 is quite a lot for leads bag.
The Quicklock is so named because the front legs can be folded away with minimum fuss thanks to the neat folding mechanism. It’s a ‘twist and lock’ system where the legs slot into grooves on a rotating cylinder. Essentially, you turn the wheel until the grooves align, then the legs can be folded out. Stability sits high on the list of design credentials.
