Bait

I have never believed that a quick spray of your hook bait before casting out results in anything other than the majority of it washing off as the bait hits the water. I’m sorry, but I just can’t see it staying on the bait when only applied a matter of seconds before casting out.

I’ve used several of these from Sticky in the last year or so, especially the Krill and Signature ones because I use those particular baits a hell of a lot. However, don’t let it fool you into thinking that bait sprays do not work, especially in the case of these. Provided you spray your baits in good time and leave it to at least soak partly into the bait, they are absolutely spot-on.

I often just give the baits the occasional spray and shake while still in the tub – I love doing this with my Krill Wafters that are often my hook bait inside a PVA bag. The result is almost a skin of added attraction on the bait and I think they look and smell fantastic – the carp certainly don’t turn their ‘noses’ up at them!
