Dynamite Baits Red Amo

When Dynamite combined a new fruit-based palatant with its already hugely successful Monster Tiger Nut recipe, the result was a bait that is instantly accepted by carp and which also proved a valid long-term food source through testing.
Although all new baits will claim to have an immediate impact when introduced, it’s difficult to tell when this is true and when it is not. I have witnessed Red-Amo going into a lake for the first time (it hadn’t been launched yet) and immediately proving successful.

I also happen to know a fair few of the Dynamite field testers and they too reported great results almost from day one. With the exception of The Source and Monster Tiger Nut baits, the bigger-fish fraternity has not always accepted some of Dynamite’s bait launches. However, I know some very good anglers who rate this one very highly.

I haven’t used Red-Amo in my fishing, otherwise this would be a used and abused review, but I will doubtless test some for myself over the coming months. I also know that it works all year round and I am yet to settle on an autumn and winter bait for later this year, so I’m quite keen to see how it fares.

My only slight gripe, when I have fed some in my local club water to gauge a reaction, is that the resident coots and their friends easily see the washed-out pink colour. It’s presumed that washed-out pink (or any bait with a washed-out appearance) can fool wary carp, but especially in clear, shallower lakes there is this downside.

RRP: £8.99 per kilo (£39.99 for 5kg bags)
