The Gigantica Lakes in France urgently require a new member of the team to cook for customers and maintain and develop the 100-acre site.

This is a full-time, residential position in France, so it ideally suits an energetic and motivated person with no ties in the UK, who adapts to new environments and has a willingness to integrate into the local community. Professional tuition to learn French is part of the role.

This is a customer-service role, so the successful candidate needs to put their customers first. Personal fishing is part of the job but only when the day’s tasks are complete. You will be cooking with a second chef/bailiff for up to 24 people in a small but well-equipped kitchen that will be totally modernised this winter. Other essential daily tasks include cleaning, stock control, shopping, record keeping, bankside maintenance, fish care, photography and of course, coaching anglers to catch more fish.

During the summer season you will be working seven days a week with a week’s holiday in the summer and five weeks holiday over the winter, so serious thought should be given to what you would do with this holiday entitlement.
