Bait

I’m usually fairly cynical when it comes to ‘wonder baits’ but after listening to endless tales of success attributed to this bait, from, among others, my colleague Dan Wildbore, I was happy to put it to the test.

The bait oozes a marzipan-like aroma instantly, but with a creamy undertone that appeals. Breaking one open also revealed plenty of ingredients, so I was confident enough that it would work.
So far I’ve caught on nearly every trip when using it. This can’t solely be due to the bait but I have noticed a rise in my catch rate. I even added 20mm baits to my usual prebaiting on the river and managed to bag my first river twenty over 1kg of Live System.
