Bankside Cuisine | Steak Stroganoff

This is a firm favourite in our household, but it’s just as easy to cook on the bank with a larger RidgeMonkey or saucepan. It’s well worth using sliced steak - this is a lot more tender than the beef meant for stewing.

You’ll need: RidgeMonkey Multi-Purpose Pan or Connect Combi.

Ingredients:
• Sliced sirloin steak
• Diced onion
• Sliced mushroom
• Paprika
• Garlic seasoning
• Beef stock
• Créme fraîche
• Dijon mustard
• Rice or pasta

Home prep: Either buy the ingredients prepared, or cut up the steak, onions and mushrooms at home before you leave.

Method:

1. Everything you need for a delicious beef stroganoff.

2. Start off by browning off your strips of steak.

3. Once browned add the chopped onions and soften.

4. Next add your mushrooms - you need plenty as they shrink a lot.

5. Close the lid cook on a low heat.

6. Once cooked, add a teaspoon of paprika...

7. ...and a good sprinkling of garlic.

8. Add a splash of water.

9. Dissolve in a beef stock cube.

10. Add a few dollops of creme fraiche.

11. Stir in some mustard to taste.

12. Finally, heat up your choice of side dish.
