“When I put my glasses on, it turned the surface of the lake from a silver sheet into a transparent window, beneath which I could see gravel bars, and dark shapes moving around. There is no doubt in my mind that without my Fortis Eyewear, I wouldn’t have had half as much success over the last few weeks. “

These were the words of Terry Dempsey, who has just enjoyed a brilliant run of form – including the capture of his new personal best common carp, at a weight of 42lb 8oz.

Terry explained: “Being able to identify the shallow, gravelly areas of my Kent target water were vital – and the excellent subsurface vision offered by the Fortis glasses made this a doddle.

The next part of my plan came with baiting up – and that’s where the nutcracker boilies that I have developed came in. The fish really seem to have a taste for these, and they are well worth a go.

These two things , and a boatload of patience have seen me bank numerous fish over the last few weeks, including several 30’s and  of course, my new PB.
