Pick The Cherry!
Cherry Lakes open for business!
Cotswold Water Park holiday resort, Cherry Lakes near Cirencester, is to open its doors to the public from the end of the month.
Venue owner Mike Kirsch explained: "Judith and I have taken a lot of pride in making this venue, and the accommodation, as luxurious as it can be. My wife in particular has made sure that the accommodation has everything to offer, not only for the angler, but also for the angler's other half. If your idea of heaven is an idyllic log cabin break on the banks of a lake, waking up to the sound of water lapping at the deck a few steps from your bedroom, then look no further. Cherry Lakes aims to become ‘the’ destination of choice for fishing holidays in the UK by appealing equally strongly to both the angler and their non-fishing partner.
"Log cabin breaks are becoming ever more popular and these lodges are a perfect way to enjoy the outdoor experience, but with all the luxury of home.
"Each cabin on Cherry Lakes – which are called Heron, Osprey and Grebe Lodges – has its own large fishing platform extending out over the water. These fishing platforms can comfortably accommodate two anglers and their rod pods and are located literally two steps and 10 feet from the patio doors of the Lodge.
"Kingfisher Lodge on Cherry Pool has a large double swim, complete with astroturf at the bottom of the steps from the Lodge deck instead of a fishing platform, offering even more room. This is also just 10 feet from your front door, and offers our ultimate luxury fishing experience!
"The Lodges (or log cabins if you prefer) are equipped to the highest standard throughout and have been designed to ensure all our visitors enjoy their carp fishing holiday relaxing in whichever way they choose, such as by reading a book, watching the TV, fishing or simply sun bathing.
"Each private fishing lodge has extensive wide patio doors which open onto a private deck, enabling the angler to enjoy the view over the lake even when the weather is bad. When the weather is good, keep the doors open, sit on the sun deck enjoying a glass of wine while cooking on the gas-fired BBQ.
"Each Lodge has been tastefully fitted throughout. It has a stylish lounge area, with sofa-bed, occasional tables and TV with 100 Freeview channels and DVD player. Each Lodge also has WiFi available at a small additional charge."
