54lb 12oz monster caught 14 years after original capture.
Tim Cosens enjoyed the session of his lifetime on this weekend's trip to Kent's Strawberry Fields Fishery, after banking a 54lb 12oz common carp. Remarkably, he captured the same fish some 14 years earlier, when it weighed 26lb. The monster was caught from Kent's Strawberry Fields Lake.

Tim explained: "I first caught this fish about 14 years ago at 26lb so I was very pleased to recapture it all these years later. Although I am no longer a regular at the venue, this fish has been on my mind for the last couple of years. I keep an eye on the weather and when it is right I try to get down there for a quick overnighter, on the off chance that I may get lucky. 

"Fortunately, everything came together on this visit – I got an early finish at work and conditions were bang on. 

"I flicked out a single Nash Amber Strawberry Pop-Up, on a prototype rig – and three hours later my alarm sprang into life. After a lengthy fight I bundled the big common into the net. I am really pleased with this capture, which is my second UK 50 and beat my longstanding PB by 2lb 4oz."
