Rare Scandinavian specimen tracked down in remote forest lake.

Finland isn’t a country known for its big carp, in fact anglers have to look far and wide just to find waters holding decent fish – a fact that makes this 38lb 10oz fish such an impressive catch.

Banked by Finnish angler and consultant for tackle firm Prologic, Janne Sulstrom, the beautifully coloured common was the result of a trek to a stunning remote forest lake.

Baiting up with DD-Baits offerings, Janne fished the water using a DD-Baits Banana and Crustacean Big Ball popup, landing the specimen using a Prologic T-Carp rod following a screaming run from the fish which had probably never seen a hook before in its life.
