Nash Recalls Brolly

Firm asks customers to contact them due to issue with batch of shelters.

Top tackle firm Nash has announced a recall on a batch of its latest range of brollies.

A problem with the pegging points on the Titan Brolly All Season sent out just before Christmas has seen the company ask any customer who purchased one of the brollies to contact them.

Identified as being down to the wrong length front ribs having been used in the batch, the problem sees the pegging points being too high to allow the pegs to properly grip in certain types of soil.

“The issue came to light after a customer rang us to say that the pegging points seemed to be too high to peg down properly, and that he was struggling to retain a grip in sandy soil,” said company boss Kevin Nash.

“I checked our stock and found that the pegging points were, in fact, higher off the ground than they should be. This puts undue pressure on the pegs, and affects their potential to grip in soft terrain. After checking all dimensions, we have now identified the problem. This is due to the front ribs being over length.

“While I am sure that this may not seem to be a problem for some of our customers, especially those fishing sticky, clay ground, it concerns me that these Titans do not follow my design benchmarks exactly, and therefore, are not 100% perfect," continued Kevin.

“Here at Nash we pride ourselves on ensuring the highest standards of quality and therefore I am asking anyone who has purchased a Titan Brolly AS to contact us.”

Nash have already confirmed that replacement front ribs will be available for the brolly in the first half of February which costumers can use to replace the originals. Alternatively customers also have the following options

1)  You may return it to your shop for a full credit as we cannot replace it at this time.

2)  You may be happy to keep your Titan Brolly AS, and when we receive the replacement ribs, you may request that we send you a set for you to fit yourself.

3)  You may be happy to keep your Titan Brolly AS until we receive replacement ribs, at which time you may prefer us to collect the Titan, replace the ribs, and send it back to you.

“I do trust everyone understands that we are doing our best to resolve this issue, in the most professional manner, and to the total satisfaction of our customers,” added Kevin.
