Fishery day showcases latest gear in action.
The Total Fishing Tackle open weekend is set to take place June 8th and 9th, 2013. The weekend will be held at Birds Green Fishery near Ongar in Essex. For the seventh year running, the whole event is free, and is bigger and better than ever before! 

The weekend event is a bit different from your average tackle shop open day, because it takes place on a fishery – a real bonus for on-the-bank demonstrations.

Many of the industry’s biggest names and manufacturers will be in attendance, including:

• Nash
• Prestige Carp Porter
• JRC
• Taska
• Angling Technics
• Kryston
• Fortis Eyewear

The expert casting team from Nash will be giving tips and tuition in the casting meadow, with visitors having the opportunity to try the new Dwarf & Scope rods as well as the popular Entity range. 

Casting guru Terry Edmonds will be in attendance helping you to chuck to the horizon. Anglers are invited to bring their own rod and reel to learn how to get better performance from their own setup.

Expert angler Darrell Peck and other Korda/Guru consultants will be fishing on the lake, and talking rigs and terminal tackle. Steve Spurgeon and others from Fox will be giving a masterclass on Zig Rig fishing, explaining how they catch carp from Top Lake. 

There will be the full range of Fox products displayed, including the extremely popular Supa Brolly’s. Various consultants from Trakker will be there with the new Levelite Bedchair and range of Sanctuary carp care kit.  

Keith Williams from Angling Technics will have all the latest bait boats and fish finders on demonstration. Taska will be displaying their full range of products including the popular baseline and stainless ranges.

All the leading manufacturers will show an extensive list of new products assembled and demonstrated for you by the manufacturers and their consultants.

Rig Clinics will take place, where various consultants from Nash Tackle, Korda, Fox, Taska & Kryston will be demonstrating their favorite rigs.

There is also to be what in the past has proved to be a very popular stand, where the experts at Nash Bait demonstrate their exclusive “Birds Green Specials.”

Customers will also have the opportunity to seek advice from the pros – all the consultants are on hand to answer any questions you might have, all you have to do is ask!

In addition to  the above, there will be several competitions, goody bags, a BBQ, refreshments and loads more….
