Dave Lane banks three pit monsters.
Angling consultant Dave Lane has this week proved why he is right at the top of his game- after banking the three biggest carp in a Northamptonshire pit in the space of a fortnight.

The biggest of the trio- the 45lb leather carp shown here in the picture is a new PB for the Mainline backed ace- though he has caught bigger mirror and common carp, including three UK fish over 50lb!

“Its lovely when things go your way, and a combination of factors have helped me to land this special brace of fish over the last couple of weeks. The fish in this particular lake have spawned three times this year, making them extra hungry, especially now the water is starting to cool off.

I have also fine tuned my tactics, and found that fishing small pop ups over the top of Mainline Cell baits in the clear spots in the weed, and feeding bait fairly accurately via catapult has been key in tempting all these fish.”

Alongside the giant leather, Dave has also managed a common carp of 37lb, and a mirror carp of the same weight- meaning he has caught the three biggest carp in the syndicate. In addition to his three biggest fish Dave has also tempted six further carp- the biggest weighing 34lb!
