Gabriel’s Fishery Complex consists of five lakes and the opportunity to fish a mile and a quarter of the beautiful banks of the River Eden, including the weir pool. The fishery is open all year round subject to natural conditions, maintenance and private hire. Please note, river fishing is subject to the Environment Agency season and licence.

Admiral Lake is the big specimen lake at Gabriel’s, so if you’re after a big catch that’s the place to go. This year’s record is a mirror carp tipping nearly 40lb. Swallow Lake is perfect for those just starting out fishing, with small carp and a variety of other fish stocked.

The fishery is set in partial woodland giving contrast, light and shade over the water. The water lilies and marginal plants give an attractive display not only for the angler to appreciate but also to provide an ideal ecological environment for the fish to flourish in. This balance has been recognised by the Kent Wildlife Trust, and awarded with a Local Wildlife Sites Award 2012.
