Top carpers take French venue to pieces during short session.
Fox-backed duo Rob Hughes and Mark Bartlett have just returned from an epic trip to France’s famous Abbey Lakes which over just four nights saw them bank no less than 44 fish between them.

Including a large number of 30s and 40s in their haul, the guys showed why they are the top of their games, adopting totally different approaching to the venue but still giving the fish what for.

During the trip Rob opted for a more mobile approach, keeping things fluid and following the fish, he even managed to stalk out fish to 45lb in the margins.

Mark on the other hand let the fish come to him, working his magic over one area with three rods using Fox solid Rapide bags over plenty of bait. It was an approach that saw him take the biggest fish of the session at 47lb.
