Chilly and Jackson take glory in the Carp Angling World Champs, USA.

Carp legends Ian Chillcott and Lee Jackson have won the 2011 Carp Angling World Championship in the USA.

Fishing the mighty St. Lawrence river in the north of New York State, the pair banked well over 100 fish during the five-day tournament to beat some of the best carpers in the world with a total weight of over 1500lb!

Included in the winning haul were fish up to over 25lb, with Lee also managing to bank a mirror carp – an extremely rare fish for the St. Lawrence waterway.

After taking the title, Lee and Ian will come home $30k better off and will also get free entry into next year’s competition in Italy.
