Briars Banks Wraysbury Beast
Paw-Print mirror caught at 42-4-0
Browns Angling's Purchasing Manager, Stewart Briars, enjoyed the session of a lifetime last weekend - after banking the famous Wraysbury Paw-Print at a weight of 42-4-0.
Stewart netted the monster after fishing the notoriously tough water just four times - and was elated with his capture.
He explained: "I know people who have fished Wraysbury for over a year without landing a carp, so to bank such a special fish on just my fourth trip was very special indeed.
I boated out my hookbait, which was a Nash Scopex & Squid boilie on a chod rig, over around 50 freebies at a range of 150 yards. The take was explosive, and the battle lasted around 25 minutes before the fish finally came to the net.
Later in the session, I lost a mirror that was even bigger - either a very big 40 or a low 50, but you cant win them all, and on balance I was delighted with the result."
