Nights are now drawing in and while the days still offer plenty of warmth on the bank, just around the corner is the season of autumn, which will see cooler night-time temperatures but hopefully plenty of carp too! With that in mind you may well be on the lookout for a new sleeping bag or a bedchair cover… if so, it’s well worth checking out what Wychwood has on offer.

Depending on your style of fishing there are two ranges to choose from in the form of the Comforter and Tactical options. The latter has been tailored for the mobile angler who generally fishes shorter sessions or quick overnighters, while the Comforter range is more designed for the session angler who enjoys a little more comfort while bankside. Another key difference is their appearance as the Tactical range has been given the DPM camo treatment and it looks superb!

Constructed with a breathable Rip-Stop outer, both sleeping bags feature a four chamber hollow fill insulation. The Comforter Sleeping Bag then utilises a fleece lining while the Tactical Sleeping Bag is smooth lined, providing 4 and 3-season comfort ratings respectively. The Tactical waterproof bedchair cover is designed to keep your sleeping bag dry, while the comforter bedchair cover is water resistant and fleece lined, providing additional warmth for use in the depths of winter – when combined with the Comforter Sleeping bag this creates a 5-season system.

The sleeping bags have been carefully designed to fit standard width beds, utilising high quality bed fixing straps and elasticated hoods at either end to retain the bag in place. Similarly, the covers feature an elasticated hood at the foot of the bed, plus additional bedchair fixing loops up the perimeter.

The Tactical Sleeping Bag is extremely lightweight weighing in at just 2kg and the Bedchair Cover barely registers on the scales at only 500g. Price tags of £79.99 and £44.99 have been given, a very affordable price point for outstanding products!

Amazingly, despite the additional insulation and fleece material, the Comforter range is still very lightweight; the Sleeping Bag weighs in at a mere 3.75kg and the Bedchair Cover is just 1.35kg. Both are priced very reasonably too at £89.99 and £54.99, respectively.
