Top manufacturer plans to create best online angling TV channel there is. Tackle giant Fox has announced its intentions to create the ‘ultimate’ You Tube channel for anglers. Headed up by the company’s Media Manager, Lewis Porter, the plan involves producing a raft of ‘top fishing videos’ featuring the brands stable of consultants, along with a few prize giveaways along the way – and of course, it will all be completely free. “2011 was an incredible year for Fox with a number of our consultants catching and filming their results, plus some of our team featured in the highly popular TV show Extreme Carp, which aired on Sky Sports”, said Lewis, talking about the project.

' Angling and television star Matt Hayes has vowed to bring the fun back into fishing after he signed a five-year consultancy agreement with Fladen Fishing, one of the fastest growing brands in the tackle trade. The deal was signed at the massive Spring Fair event being held at Birmingham's NEC where Fladen was exhibiting its products with Matt on hand to talk to buyers from national store groups around the country. “I’ve spent a lot of time in discussions with a number of companies in the trade, but Fladen was the only ones that shared my vision,” said Matt.

As is usual with me it’s been quite a hectic couple of weeks, what with family, work and shows. Nevertheless, I’ve still managed a couple of nights on my winter venue testing a new all-season bait for Sticky. Like anything in life, it’s rewarding being part of something where you have a lot of input, seeing it evolve, grow and eventually come to fruition and everyone can benefit from something you have helped put together. The next batch of all-season bait turned up on my doorstep and, as you can imagine, I was as excited by what beheld me in the box and, more importantly, how I would juggle my increasingly busy life to be able to get out and do some fishing for a change.
