There’s no shortage of companies selling sunglasses these days and Hobo Armour is one such firm that seems to be doing a good job of it. With a line-up of six frame and lens combinations, all with a fashionable take, there’s surely something for most anglers in the range. When we had these in the office, interestingly, each of the TC staff chose a different version as their favourite. Mine was the clear frame with blue lens, which I thought looked pretty funky! Brown/brown, white/black, frosted/gold, black/aqua and black/blue complete the collection.

There are a few fair items of fishing attire that are either loved or hated and the Croc-style shoe is certainly one of them - we love these! The hoodie is a stylish garment constructed from cotton and polyester for a snug fit, soft feel and reduced drying time. Sporting a subtle yellow Wychwood logo, you could easily wear this on the bank or down the pub, and for less than £30 it’s a steal. The cargo pants are not so suitable for the pub, unless it’s fancy dress perhaps, or you go for the subtle beige coloration as opposed to the full-on camou. Available in M, L, XL and XXL, the nylon material has been micro-engineered to feel like cotton but offering increased stretch for durability.

PUKKA!On an early spring recce to Navitas HQ in deepest Essex I was privvy to a host of exciting new bits, incuding these three, which I singled out for a closer look. First up, and a particular favourite for me as a self-confessed Croc hater, the Weaves offer a great option to the carp angler wanting a summer shoe that can be slipped on and off in a hurry. The weave design allows water to drain out immediately and, despite it being more of a slipper design, the rear folds down easily to allow them to be worn more like a slip-on. Super-lightweight but with a decent soles, they take up very little room and can be worn for long periods without any discomfort.
