The annual Total Carp Tackle Awards are just around the corner. After a multitude of brilliant products have hit the banks this year, it is now your chance to have your say and see which ones really where the best of 2014. We pride ourselves on an unbiased and fair tackle awards where you, the user, the angling public, are counted for what you think. This could quite possibly be your only chance to air your thoughts on how these products really deal with day-to-day angling situations.
120+ exhibitors at Norfolk show. Over 120 stands have confirmed their attendance at the British Carp Angling Show. Taking place at the Norkfolk Showground on the weekend of the 18th and 19th January next year, organisers are expecting to see more people attend this year than ever before. The show premiered in January 2012 and blew the minds of many exhibitors who were thrilled with the busy and lively atmosphere, where visitor numbers reached an estimated 9,000 over the 2-day show.
Carl Sharp has landed four carp to 35lb 14oz during a mad, four-hour spell on the morning he was packing up from his weekend session on Monk's Pit in Cambridgeshire. A 22lb 4oz mirror and two stockies made up the rest of the haul. The Wolverhampton-based Solar team member presented 14mm Club Mix pop-ups over a bed of 2kg of Seafood Take-Away boilies and 3kg of Solar's Salty Sweet Particles at 80 yards to a hole in the thick kelp-like weed. Rigs comprised size 6 Stronghold 101 hooks and 10 inches of Solar Easy-Strip coated hook link set up multi-rig style.
On Saturday, May 3rd, Nash Tackle star Alan Blair and bait guru Gary Bayes will be at the FatFish Tackle carp angling superstore in Chartham, Kent, where they will be demonstrating rigs and baits and will be on hand to answer YOUR carping queries!
There will also be many brand-new products from Nash to have a look at, including the exciting tungsten liquid, Spot-On line markers, Chod Twisters and the latest 6ft Scopes and Dwarf rods.

We attended the annual Nash Trade show at its headquarters today. As usual the company had plenty to show us and there were some real jewels among its new roster of products. Firstly, the Double Top Apex bivvy has been causing quite a stir on social media with its interesting shape and features. Like the double tops of recent years it has a lot to offer the angler that wants to be comfortable on the bank no matter the weather.
