The immense carp known as The Parrot has been banked at a colossal 68lb 1oz, which once verified will sit as the new British Record

The fish will take over the mantle from the much loved Two Tone, which held the top spot for several years before passing away. The carp world has been anticipating which of the new breed of big carp would take over from the Conningbrook great, with many correctly suggesting that The Parrot would be the one to do so.

It's not yet know whether captor Dean Fletcher will enter a claim for the official record, but it looks likely that he will and the Wasing beast will be ranked biggest in the country!
