With so many anglers putting stunning captures on the bank these days, they can often overlook taking a simple picture and their capture can be let down by the quality of the photos. After all, you want to remember the capture in all its glory and with so many pictures going up on social media we all want a good one. We spend hours, even days, putting a great deal of effort into catching stunning fish so it's a shame to not capture that moment properly, all for the sake of rushing. We've all seen that picture where a bucket has been left in the background or bags of rubbish, tripod and so on.

Improve Your Carp Fishing With the ever-growing popularity in fishing a popped-up presentation, undisputable big fish and thinking angler DARRELL PECK identifies the two most popular rigs and the difference between them. There was no guessing where the carp were, they were plain to see, away from the angling pressure Pop-up rigs have become more and more popular with time and I’m going to talk about the finer differences between two of the most popular presentations of this era – the hinged stiff and multi rigs. I’m fishing a fantastic little venue not too far from my home in Essex, A12 Cuton Lakes. I’ve fished here once before and know from experience that the fish can turn up absolutely anywhere, which suits pop-up fishing down to the ground.

Solar Tackle team member Wesley Lagaert’s incredible autumn season just gets better and better. Again, fishing mid-week overnighters between shifts at work Wes landed two thirties and a forty in a single night using Solar’s new TunaMino boilies. Wesley explains: “After a slow start to the week, having caught one thirty on Tuesday night and a twenty on Wednesday night, everything came good on the Thursday night and I had three bites off my baited area. “Because the action had been a bit slow, I baited less than on the previous nights, Spombing 1.

This was my third visit to Linear Fisheries in oxford, as I had two previous successful sessions on the complex but on different lakes. I had fished both Manor and Hardwicks and but this time I was visiting the very infamous Brasenose Two. After doing a lot of research on the lake and speaking to fellow anglers is was apparent that “the Point” was the swim that most people wanted to fish and that it had previously produced a lot of fish. With so many people giving a difference of opinion one thing that a lot of people did agree on was that the lake was a particle and sweetcorn venue and spodding was essential to achieve bites.

After pre-baiting an area on a local pit in northeast France for a few days leading up to his session, Solar Tackle team member Thomas Mascha has enjoyed an incredible day trip ending the session off with three forties and three thirties! Fishing over a scattering of Seafodd Take-Away boilies soaked in hot Scottish Salmon Oil and Marine 17 liquid (the same baits that were used for pre-bating), Thomas landed an incredible run of big fish, all in a single day. His Seafood Take-Away hook bait was coupled with a small PVA bag of Squid & Octopus Up & Down Mix and the result was carp of 47lb, 41lb, 40lb - 12oz, 36lb, 35lb - 14oz and 34lb. This just might be the best haul of big carp on a day-only session that we've ever heard of. Order your Seafood Take-Away boilies, Marine 17, Up & Down Mix and all other Solar baits via our official online storewww.

Incredibly, Solar Tackle team member Wesley Lagaert has landed a second trio of thirties from in just over a week. Getting out for a short session on Sunday night at the Integra syndicate lake near his home, the Belgian-based rod landed 5 carp, three of which were over 30lb. 30lb Presenting a TunaMino bottom bait tipped with a Dairy Cream Everlasting hook bait over a bed of Solar’s new TunaMino prototype baits, Wesley caught steadily from an area he'd probated in the days leading up to the session. The three biggest were all mirrors with two weighing in at 31lb and the third tipping the scales at 30lb.

Solar Tackle staff member Barry Minns enjoyed a productive 48-hour session on a Kent club water, landing 3 commons to 33lb 3oz. Fishing over a bed of particles and Solar’s new, TunaMino test boilies with a 14mm TunaMino bottom bait fished on a multi-rig with a size 6 Stronghold 101 hook, the first take came on Saturday morning, having got to the lake after work on Friday evening. Following a weak fight and landing the first fish along with a huge ball of weed Barry thought a small common was the culprit. On stripping back the weed though, he was greeted with a 33lb 3oz common.

After 6 months i finally returned to my favourite lake The Oaks. It changed allot because they have cut down allot of trees and shrubs in the winter which is a shame, but now it is definitely more friendly for disabled anglers which is great as it is important that the disabled anglers have a nice and safe place to fish carp. But like I always do, I went for a good walk around the lake to see if i could see any activity, which proved difficult because of the windy conditions. So i simply started how I finished last year on The Oaks because that was pretty successful and I caught loads of carp.
