New out last year, the range of liquid boosters hit the shops, bringing with them some of the best and well-known flavour combinations and carp attractors on the market. Krill needs no introduction, proving to be one of the best carp catchers of all time, with high amounts of naturally occuring salt and protein present. The Liquid Krill from bait speciailsts Nutrabaits is a thick consistency with a deep, dark coloration and incredibly savoury, salty fragrance. Its high nutritional profile results in this pungent liquid being a great booster for boilies, particles and pellets alike.

There are a few fair items of fishing attire that are either loved or hated and the Croc-style shoe is certainly one of them - we love these! No-one can argue with their practicality but the looks are certainly yet to be desirable. The dedicated and in vogue team behind Navitas has come up with an alternative shoe that, as well as being extremely practical, is also extremely tasteful. The Weave was born after meticulous research and development and we think they are ace. Designed around a slipper concept for comfort yet with the functionality and versatility of a trainer, these suit bank life like a dream.

By Matthew Kingsford My second French trip of the year was fast approaching, having just returned from a great week away on holiday with my Fiancée I had to cram in some work and also prepare for a week away at the fabulous Jonchery complex, all within 4 days, tight you may say? But I am a seasoned pro at last minute, this should be a piece of cake……. Well not quite……I don’t generally do things by halves as I am sure my fiancée would agree on, and had my work cut out to get it all done, my initial optimism in thinking I would breeze it with time to spare soon rapidly left my thoughts and turned into blind panic. Luckily before I went away I had already put my bait orders in with DNA Baits, having opted for the awesome baits “The Switch” and “Nuttas” in 2 different sizes of 15mm and 18mm, so the important part was already taken care of. This still left a mountain of other preparations, sorting out tackle I would need and not need, clothes, food, charging up the numerous camera batteries, Ridgemonkey Power Pack and lights as well as tying copious amounts of rigs! I could of done it on the bank but I much prefer to tie a selection of rigs to cater for all eventualities beforehand, just in case when arriving on the venue the fish are on it, I want to be on fish at any opportunity without the hassle of unpacking to then tie up rigs etc, better to be prepared and not need it, than not be prepared need it is what I say.

Yesterday saw our team heading down to Milton Keynes based carp tackle manufactures Wychwood Tackle for their official 2016 tackle launch. On arrival we were greeted with complimentary coffee and pastries before we were talked through the latest releases to hit the market this year. Three particular product ranges caught our eye, the new distinctive modular luggage range of which are all part of a versatile system to help you the angler, construct your own dedicated items to suit your individual needs. Boasting a range of additional extras such as built in rain covers for the rucksacks and carryalls and ingenious little bank stick slots to help you keep organised and efficient when on the move.

It had been in the pipelines for a little while to try and get a few of the Main Kraken Team members together so after deliberating where the event would be held we settled on a venue that would be a comfortable distance for everyone to get to, other than owner and Boss Mark Williams who unfortunately had a four hour Drive to get to the lake. On the day it was Mark and Team Captain Scott Who arrived at the lake first as it was a social we had already discussed the swims we wanted to fish before hand. Depending on the location of the fish would obviously be a key factor and Luckily enough when they arrived at the lake the pegs that we wanted to fish were free and had fish showing all over the swims along with a couple of anglers due to leave two of the pegs further down the bank that we wanted for the following morning when we were expecting a couple more kraken members. Throughout the Day both mark and Scott kept me up to date with how the lake was fishing, with Mark already having a small Stockie, for me work couldn't finish quick enough.

Craig Sheffield has just returned from an incredible trip that saw him land a brace of sixties! Spending a week at Le Lac Da Peupliers in Brittany the Solar Tackle field tester fished his favourite Dairy Cream Corker hook bait over a bed of chopped 14mm Candy Floss boilies and landed a total of 14 carp. Along with the two 60lb+ mirrors, Craig landed a stunning linear not once but twice within a couple of days. Incredibly, this fish is only know to have been landed once before in 2014 despite being in the venue for 8 years. Order your Candy Floss baits via our official online storewww.

Ready, Steady, Go… Maximising your time on the bank is essential. MARTIN WIFFEN uses ready-to-go baits to his advantage and here’s how you can too. Every angler would like enough spare time to prepare their own particles and roll their own boilies, but in this ever-turning world it simply isn’t that feasible. With the developments in bait manufacture in the last five years there is no excuse to be using second-rate bait.

We always like to hear how the readers, social media followers and,of course, web visitors are getting with their own fishing. So much so that we've invited a few guys and girls to share their stories, in their own words, which have included some fasacinating stuff. Luke Nottingham from Essex in one such angler here. .

Introduction American Angler Edwin Stackhouse awakens from his brolly and stands before a massive and intimidating tidal river, watching the sun slowly rise above the tree line as it intensifies, burning away the fog lingering low to the waters glass-like surface. He contemplates a plan of action for the day, re-thinking rigs and baiting tactics. Feeling close to hitting his mark. Applying knowledge with reasoning, he’s seven weeks out.
