SOLAR P1 UNIVERSAL POD

Taking the very best features from its previously released pods, Solar has built upon a solid foundation to produce this highly functional yet adaptable and adjustable rod support system.

The 9in legs of the Universal Pod incorporate Solar’s new ground-driver points, which can be planted into almost any ground type for security. Captive thumbscrews also make sure that everything is locked up during a session and allow for fine adjustment, together with a ratchet system, meaning the system can be used in all terrains.

The dual main bars are also extendable, from a compact 56cm all the way up to 95cm, thus further enhancing stability. The uprights that hold your bite alarms and butt rests are also fully adjustable and can be angled to suit any situation. They fold flat to the body, allowing for a completely flat pack down to fit inside the supplied carry case.

The uprights measure 14cm at the rear and 11cm at the front and the combined weight of the pod is 4.4kg. This system is testament to Solar Tackle, which precision engineers and manufactures its products in the UK. SOLAR PRO-LOC BUZZ BARS Having been designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom, there are several distinctive features that make the Pro-Loc stainless range stand out from the crowd, including the ultra-unique knurled collar thumbscrews and collars. Their design also means you can achieve a really tight grip and ultimately lock the adjusted bankstick into its desired position, while the collar’s similar design allows for a far easier install and perfect alignment of buzz bars and alarms.

One of the most flawed aspects of using banksticks and buzz bars has also been addressed. This is twist of the inserts that occurs far more regularly than we would like when fishing locked up for weedy or snaggy situations. A simple yet effective solution has been achieved by milling a flat profile on one side of the insert.

The prize buzz bars are the medium and large three-rod versions. The medium bars are 220mm wide and extend to 340mm, whilst the large are 240mm and will open up to a maximum of 360mm.
