Having just returned from fishing in France at Lake Chantebeouf, i really don't know where to start with this post but I just wanted to share some of the success.
The weeks weather was great for October, air pressue wasn’t too bad, we had a full moon and 100% confidence in the tactics/total approach that I had been mulling over for months/years ahead of my trip.
That accompanied with full on hard work resulted in success, catching fish that haven't been caught for over 2 years, breaking records on the lake for catching the most carp in a week and the record for the highest average weight in a week and catching new monster PB Mirror and Common carp.
It all hasn't sunk in yet…I really don’t think what we achieved ever will!
This session will certainly go down as the best weeks fishing in my life and i can't ever see me ever beating this achievement...the stories and memories will stay with me until I die!!!
So...you ready...here goes...
I ended the week with...15 Carp...
7 x 60's - 69lb Mirror (new PB mirror), 68lb Mirror, 63lb 4oz mirror, 63lb 3oz Mirror, 62lb 8oz mirror, 61lb 6oz common, 61lb 4oz mirror!!!!
(5 x 60's in a crazy 16 hours and surely is some kind of record. Infact a crazy 16 hours...7 fish for 427b 9oz!)*
6 x 50's - 59lb 9oz mirror, 58lb 5oz mirror, 56lb 8oz mirror, 54lb 9oz mirror, 51lb 4oz common, 51lb 3oz mirror
2 x 40's - 42lb 9oz mirror, 42lb 8oz mirror
The majority of fish were caught on 2 enterprise tackle fake corn over a tin of corn after working hard looking for mudding up or bubbles throughout the week.
Rigs were drop off leads, Gemini Tackle ronnie tidy booms with a size 6 korda krank x hook.
I have pics of all the fish if needed but will send you the 60’s….
